In this article, I would like to talk about a book that shares the experiences of people working as Product Managers in Silicon Valley.

Ship İt Silicon Valley Product Managers.

I think every Product Manager should read it. It gives very important information to understand how the managers working in large companies look at the events. What I understand from this book are the most important situations to be considered in technology companies;

Product management and Customer. Understanding the customer comes first.Another important issue is product management. Companies have to pay attention to product management while planning. They should place this at the center of their corporate culture. Only in this way can they build the road to success. Of course, while doing this, they should never stop understanding the customer and meeting their needs. Because they are so attached to their products, they have a hard time seeing their weak spots.

However, it is a great advantage for them to take a step back and take a wider view. Companies that continue to understand customer and product management in proportion to each other are doing very successful work.

There are simple ways to do this. Based on my own experience I can say that;

·      Test scenarios should be created with customers

·      Created scenarios should be simulated

·      Weak spots must be found and fixed.

It’s easy to sort them. The important thing is to apply. Company culture  is of great importance in this. Teams that do this are successful. Others get stuck in a short time and get lost in the projects they have developed. The important thing is to make our projects easier for our customers; we must first understand them. The most important issue in this section; The way we do business and our egos. I believe that the success rates of the projects will increase if we put these in the background and give priority to our customers.

Because ‘ Customer first, business second, ego last’
